Older Adult Group Training

Physical activity has proven benefits for physical health, including improved cardiovascular capacity, muscle strength, range of motion and balance. In addition, physical activity has demonstrated mental and psychosocial benefits. Middle-aged and older adults, in particular, show an improved sense of well-being and decreased anxiety and depressive symptoms with regular exercise. Regular participation in physical activity can also improve self-esteem and self-efficacy.

Starting or maintaining a regular exercise routine can be a challenge at any age, it doesn't get easier as you get older. This 6-week fitness program addresses four components of physical activity, balance, mobility, strength and endurance. Each 75-minute class includes an instructional warm-up, aerobic/cardiovascular workout, strength and conditioning, balance exercises, stretching, and cool-down in an engaging, safe, fun and social environment. NEW Pathway to Movement Program

For many members, the desire to learn and gain comprehensive education around diverse types of exercises and modalities in the gym is often hindered by the high costs associated with personal training. This program, designed by personal fitness trainer Tae Shim, acknowledges the gap in comprehensive health and fitness education within group fitness classes, particularly when it comes to exercises outside of the studio setting.

Through the Pathways to Movement program, participants can progress through numerous workshops and programs aimed at providing education and skill development such as Foundation to Weight Training, The Big Three, and classes geared towards mobility, posture, and conditioning.

The Big Three

The Big Three Workshop is for new and intermediate lifters. Through this workshop, we aim to break down barriers and misconceptions of lifting while building a community of like-minded lifters. You will learn how to safely approach and execute proper lifting technique for the 3 Core Lifts (bench, squat, and deadlift) and how these 3 lifts are the foundation of all strength workouts.

Target clients range from individuals with no training background (0-6 months of bench, squat, deadlift experience) to regular gym members looking to add another layer of complexity in their squat, bench, and deadlift.

The Big Three Registration

NEW Foundation to Weight Training

This workshop aims to educate participants on proper warm-up techniques, movement preparation, core engagement, and tips for incorporating fitness into each participant’s lifestyle. Participants will become equipped with the knowledge to properly execute exercises to minimize the risk of injuries, which will lay a strong foundation to progress in their weight training journey.

NEW Women's Fundamentals for Strength and Fitness

Embarking on a new weight training regimen can be a daunting task, particularly for women. Our 6-week program is designed to provide you with the fundamentals necessary to increase your self-assurance and guide you through a practical and effective workout regimen. We focus on the essentials, enabling you to develop a solid foundation on which to build your fitness routine. By the end of the program, you should feel empowered to continue your fitness journey with confidence.
