Scholarship, teaching, learning and activism in the academy and beyond.
La recherche, l'enseignement, l'apprentissage et le militantisme dans le milieu universitaire et au-delà

Women’s and Gender Studies et Recherches Féministes (WGSRF) is Canada’s national association for this academic field and area of scholarship. As one of the associations that is part of the Canadian Federation for the Humanities and Social Sciences (CFHSS), WGSRF brings together scholars and activists of all kinds who work in areas related to critical identity and social justice studies. WGSRF members come from Women’s and Gender Studies programs and departments (by all sorts of names)—but also include people in adjacent fields such as disability, race, indigenous, sexuality, and post-colonial studies. What we all share is a passion for critically examining social identity categories and the difference those make to knowledge systems, social structures and organizations, and power relations.
