Applications open for the Innovation Sprint
The five-week Innovation Sprint program was created to give students across campus a meaningful work-integrated learning experience. Working with an industry mentor, students will practise tackling complex problems and bring new ideas to life. Each of the 20 selected participants will also be paid a $600 stipend. Encourage interested students to apply before the Oct. 3 application deadline.
LaunchPad Lab program accepting budding innovators
LaunchPad Lab is for MRU's makers, creators, builders and entrepreneurs. If you know of a student who has an idea or small business they'd like to develop, this eight-week entrepreneurial incubator will help take their idea/business to the next level. Reminder of annual irrigation system blowout this week
To prevent freezing and damage to the outdoor irrigation lines on campus, water is blown out every fall. This is a loud and potentially hazardous operation. Please use caution near irrigation lines in the sports fields on Sept. 21, main campus grounds on Sept. 22 and 23 and West Residence on Sept. 24. Questions may be directed to fm@mtroyal.ca.
Did you know?
The first student to enroll at what was then Mount Royal College was John Garden, who later became the second principal of the school. A beautiful green space is named after Garden on campus, the John H. Garden Memorial Park, where lost members of our community are commemorated and remembered.
