Mount Royal Giving Day 50/50 update and another opportunity to win
Research and Scholarship Days will be held from April 4 to 8, 2022. Faculty are encouraged to incorporate undergraduate research and participation in this celebration of inquiry in their winter term course work. Further details will be coming in the new year. Donate to SAMRU's Food and Hygiene Cupboard
Drop off non-perishable food items and hygiene products such as razors, shaving cream, deodorant, feminine products, toothpaste and toothbrushes at the donation boxes set up in participating departments or at the Peer Support Centre (Z210) to help support the students’ association’s Food and Hygiene Cupboard, which can be accessed year-round.
Managing snow and ice on campus
The Grounds team monitors the weather conditions closely and continuously, and reducing snow and ice hazards on campus is a top priority. Staff work hard to keep sidewalks, roadways, main entrances, accessible doorways and parking lots free of snow and ice. Roads and sidewalks will be cleared within 24 hours of a snowfall as required by City of Calgary bylaws. Learn more about our snow removal program.
Complete the cybersecurity survey and enter to win a $50 gift certificate

Multi-factor authentication now mandatory
Enabling multi-factor authentication (MFA) on your mtroyal.ca Google account has become mandatory. This change will make all of our MRU systems safer by keeping cybercriminals out even if they guess or steal a user’s account password. MFA protects all your Google services including emails and files stored in the Google Drive. More information.
Did you know?
Mount Royal's centennial mural mosaic, located at the East Gate, is made up of 180 paintings of significant people, landmarks and achievements from Mount Royal's first 100 years. In its entirety, the mural forms an image of Mount Royal's founding principal, Rev. Dr. George William Kerby, holding an open book filled with stories. Read more.

Sounds of the Season Sat., Dec. 18 from 7:30 to 9 p.m. — Bella Concert Hall This merry event features MRU Conservatory ensembles and an appearance by Calgary’s favourite comic a cappella quartet, the Heebee-jeebees. Tickets.

Start of semester emails, with option for distribution list sign-up
As each semester begins (August/September and December/January), areas with ongoing employee activities can send an email to all employees describing their semester activities. Employees can then choose to opt in to that area's distribution list (Google Group) for regular updates. If you would like to send an email and/or set up a Google Group for your area, please contact Marketing and Communications for guidelines.
