Upcoming Easter break
As a reminder, Friday, March 29 (Good Friday) and Monday, April 1 (Easter Monday) are holidays and campus will be closed. Check with the Riddell Library and Learning Centre, and Recreation for holiday hours.
Bargaining update
For updates on the meetings between the Board and the MRFA negotiating committees, who have weekly meetings schedules through May 7, visit mru.ca/Bargaining. The Board Negotiating Committee and the Mount Royal Staff Association Committee are scheduled to begin exchanging Statements of Interests on April 3.

A-wing outage March 16
Scheduled maintenance work by Information Technology Services will affect Mount Royal internet and phone systems in A-wing on Saturday, March 16, including intermittent, brief outages of up to 10 minutes affecting wireless and wired internet connectivity, and desktop phones. From 6 to 10 p.m., there will be no internet or telephone landline connectivity in A-wing. The emergency and elevator phones will not be affected.

Submit outstanding 2023 benefit claims before March 30
Employees eligible for benefits coverage have until March 30, 2024 to submit any outstanding 2023 claims. Any credits left over in your Health Spending Account and/or Personal Spending Account will carry over into 2024, but any credits from 2022 will expire on March 31, 2024 and can only be used for claims dated in 2023. SAMRU election and AGM
From March 25 to 27, credit students can cast their ballots to determine the next year of student representation and advocacy for the 2024-15 Representation Executive Council (REC). Encourage students to attend the REC Candidate Meet and Greet on March 26 from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. on the second floor of Wyckham House. Then, students can attend SAMRU’s Annual General Meeting on March 27, featuring the election of new REC and Student Governing Board (SGB) members. Students can learn more and register here.
Cougas Campus store closed March 27 - April 1
The Cougars Campus Store will be closed on Wednesday, March 27 and Thursday, March 28 for inventory, and then Friday, March 29 through Monday, April 1 for the Easter holiday. Regular hours resume on Tuesday, April 2.
Banner offline March 31 - April 1
Mount Royal’s main Student, Finance & HR/Payroll system (Banner Admin, Banner Self-Service) will be offline from 5 p.m. on Sunday, March 31 to 7 a.m. on Monday, April 1 to complete fiscal year-end processes. Services such as course registration, fee payments, timesheets and FAST will be unavailable during this time period.

Conservatory hosting second Arts for Health Symposium
Dr. Neta Spiro, PhD, returns for the second Arts for Health Symposium on Tuesday, April 9 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Ross Glen Hall. This participatory workshop will involve short presentations on current music and arts for health initiatives, indigenous perspectives provided by MRU's Iniskim Centre, as well as plenty of discussion, brainstorming, group activities and live performances. Register in advance and attend for free.
