Undergraduate Research Leadership Program
The Library and the Office of Research, Scholarship, and Community Engagement are hiring four senior students for the new Undergraduate Research Leadership Program. With support from the program coordinator, the students will work together and individually to support and mentor fellow student researchers and contribute to undergraduate research initiatives at MRU. National Day of Mourning
On April 28, flags on campus will be at half-mast as we remember those who have died, were injured, or became ill from their job. The National Day of Mourning is also a time to renew our commitment to improve health and safety in the workplace and prevent further injuries, illnesses and deaths. Learn more.
Increased enforcement for parking in effect May 1
Effective May 1, Parking & Transportation Services will be increasing existing parking enforcement measures including more towing for unpaid tickets and ticketing those who back into or pull through stalls. Learn more at mru.ca/Parking and on this FAQ page.

MRU lecturer and writer shortlisted as Top 25 Canadian Immigrant
Kelly Kaur, an accomplished writer and MRU lecturer for 32 years, has been nominated for the second time as a Top 25 Canadian Immigrant. Kelly was shortlisted from thousands of nominations from across Canada. The next stage is for people to vote for their chosen finalists to make it to the final Top 25. Vote now until June 7. Exploring sustainability with Facilities Management
Did you know? Facilities Management provides organic, mixed recycle, refundable (beverage containers) and landfill waste receptacles across the campus. In 2022, MRU diverted 48% of waste from the landfill. Learn more.
