Every drop counts
Due to an extensive water main break, the City of Calgary has issued a State of Local Emergency. In addition to outdoor water restrictions, everyone is being asked to reduce indoor water use to help maintain the supply for critical functions. Visit mru.ca/BuildingNotifications for information on what we are doing on campus to contribute to reducing water use and how you can add to this important effort.
G-wing renovation update
As we move forward with planning for the renovation of the G-wing into a vibrant hub of student-based campus services and activity, hazardous material abatement involving asbestos-containing materials (ACMs) will be taking place in G-100 (the former library space) from May through August. This work will be done by trained employees of a contractor licensed to do this specialized work and according to all relevant regulations and guidelines. A third-party environmental consultant will monitor the project, as will Mount Royal’s Environmental Health & Safety department. Learn more.
