You’re invited to breakfast with the President
Employees are invited to sign up to join Dr. Tim Rahilly, PhD, for breakfast. This is a chance to chat, enjoy a meal and share ideas with your colleagues on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. (drop in as your schedule permits or stay for the entire time). If you are interested, please fill out this form. This event is limited to 15 participants and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Preference will be given to those who have not had a conversation with the president with an effort to have representation from all areas of the university. Only those selected will receive a confirmation to attend, but we hope to schedule additional opportunities in the future.
Buffalo Treaty signing
Our campus will make a significant step in advancing its commitment to indigenization and decolonization by signing the Buffalo Treaty on Sept. 25, 2024. This treaty was first established in 2014 by numerous First Nations to restore the buffalo population, a vital cultural and spiritual symbol. The signing ceremony, hosted by the Kainai First Nation and the International Buffalo Relations Institute, will take place in Stand Off, AB, marking the treaty’s 10th anniversary. Learn more.

Every drop counts: Water conservation on campus
With the ongoing outdoor water restrictions, we are strictly limiting our use. In addition, everyone is being asked to reduce indoor water use to help maintain supply for critical functions. Learn more about what Mount Royal is doing to reduce water use and how you can contribute to this important effort.
Access the New York Times
Mount Royal’s Library is pleased to provide all employees access to the New York Times. To do so, go to the Library's Databases page ["find and borrow" nav menu > databases] and find the NYT page. Then select Mount Royal University as your school. If you are on campus and connected to an MRU network, create an account using your MRU email. From there you can download the app/access anywhere and sign in with those same credentials.
