Budget information session Jan. 30
Attend a budget information session at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 in Ross Glen Hall, led by Provost and Vice-President, Academic, Dr. Chad London, PhD, and Vice-President, Finance and Administration, Mustansar Nadeem. ITS update: Banner offline this weekend
The Banner software system will be offline from 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24 through 10 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 26 for an upgrade. Services unavailable during this time include the employee and student self-service portals. If possible, submit your timesheet before the outage begins. If not, the deadline to submit timesheets has been extended to 10 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 27.

MyMRU, Mount Royal’s intranet and the Mount Royal website will be unavailable for approximately 60 minutes beginning at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27 due to maintenance. We apologize for any inconvenience caused by this required upgrade.

Boom Baby: A play by Dr. Natalie Meisner, PhD (Feb. 28 to March 8)
The award-winning play Boom Baby features Iona, a Nova Scotian who ventures west to work in the oilpatch. Her fragile independence is upended when she unexpectedly finds herself pregnant. She is unsettled by the pregnancy and feels all her options involve serious complications, including offering the child for adoption to an infertile couple who work in management. Can you buy a baby? The intersection of different class cultures in the energy industry meet in this potent, funny and thought-provoking play. Get your tickets.

To wrap up January’s financial wellness events, join An Introduction to Financial Management Principles on Zoom on Jan. 29 at 10 a.m. February’s events centre on heart health, beginning with an in-person Women’s Heart Health information session presented by the Canadian Women’s Heart Health Centre on Feb. 5, followed by the CardiacCrash CPR training program offered by Heart and Stroke on Feb. 12 (two time slots available).
